CFAES Research and Analytical Service Cores (RASC)

The CFAES Research and Analytical Service Cores (RASC) is a core facility within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University, supported by the Office for Research and Graduate Education (R&GE). RASC advances scientific discovery by providing access to state-of-the-art instruments, technical expertise, and specialized analytical services.

Cores within RASC:

The Molecular Biology & Genomics Core offers cutting-edge molecular biology and genomics services, including library preparation and high-throughput sequencing.

The Bioinformatics Core provides research support for the analysis of large-scale omics datasets, and training and teaching that includes computational skill development.

The Microscopy Core provides advanced imaging capabilities for biological research, offering a range of sample preparation techniques, collaboration with researchers, and hands-on training and technical assistance.

The Agricultural and Environmental Testing Core offers a comprehensive range of chemical analyses for soil, water, and plant/animal tissue, providing method customization and development to meet specific research needs.
